On Friday, May 16, 2014, RCMP and civilian search and rescue personnel conducted a search for Michael O'KEEFE, an 80 year old man reported missing from Saskatoon. It was confirmed that Mr. O'KEEFE was last seen in the vicinity of a business called the Berry Barn, southwest of Saskatoon, near the South Saskatchewan River.

The search was conducted with the use of a helicopter, zodiac water craft and ground searchers. The search area encompassed both shorelines of the river between the Berry Barn and the Circle Drive Bridge in Saskatoon. The zodiac water craft were used to check areas along the shoreline and helicopter conducted numerous aerial passes between the Berry Barn and Clarksboro Ferry Crossing, northeast of Saskatoon. Al searches were conducted with negative results.

Search activity has been suspended. No further searches are planned at this point. There have been no public reports make to the RCMP of any sightings of Mr. O'KEEFE.

UPDATE ***On the 27th of June, 2015, Michael O'KEEFE was located deceased.***
